Last time we were there- july 2010 - Gede the waiter wasnt there, he was working on a cruise ship and we missed his happy face. the wait staff are all wonderful and make you feel at home. food is great, cocktails even better and its right across from Jayakarta residence

Comments: Just returned from our 6th visit to Bali in the last two years. Every trip we visit La Monde most days. We can not praise the restaurant owner enough.Mr Dicky is very friendly & helpful and has what is needed to manage a busy restaurant. He manages and trains his staff to the highest standard. His food standards are very high and meals excellant every time. He uses fresh produce that is purchased daily and has enough fridges and freezers to store food correctly and keep the beer bloody cold, in fact he has the coldest beer we have ever had in Bali. His menu is varied and also for the people who visit every year it changes. You can eat around the world at La monde with pizzas, balinese seafood well almost everything and anything you feel like eating.Good for the kids as well. Great staff, great atmosphere great price and excellant food. We would recommend to anyone!

Comments: 2010 - Our first trip back to Bali after 11 years was still as awesome as our first time. On late arrival to Bali and dropping our suitcases to our hotel I wanted to go and find my old freind Dicky and was dissappointed he wasn't at the restuarant, so after finding out he had moved first thing the next day we took a taxi and headed for one of his new restuarants to be dissappointed again as he wasn't there. But not giving up I returned that evening for dinner at La Monde (which means the world in Italian). We were not dissappointed with the meal and the staff were fantastic, expect service to be a little slow as it is in Bali time but worth the wait for wonderful food and prices are very reasonable.
